AS PROMISED (Abercrombie) returns to Egmont Park by popular demand (via FROZEN SEMEN ONLY). Never have we been inundated with so many requests for a stallion to return as we have with As Promised. His initial crop of 2YO’s provided 11 individual winners and this snowballed to 19 individual winners from his 3YO crop of just 56 foals. These 19 winners won 76 races and continue to win races through their 4YO season. Both Abbey Tiara and Elzar have won well over $260,000 and continue to race at the top level.

Current NSW Sire of the Year will join the stallions ranks at Egmont Park this season. The son of Cam's Card Shark who won 17 races for earnings of $888,934 took a career mile rate of 1:48.8. As a two year old Camelot Hall won the $830,798 Metro Pace at Woodbine in 1:51.8. He ran second in the Woodrow Wilson Final at The Meadowlands. At three, he broke the track record in his elimination of the Cane Pace at Freehold an 1:51.2 and also set a new track record at the Meadowlands for a three year old colt going 1:49.0 in the Jersey Cup.. Camelot Hall retired as the richest and fastest son of Blissful Hall. His dam has had seven foals to race with five of them running in a time better than 1:55.0 and four $100,000 earners.

MARIKA (NZ)

MARIKA (NZ) (Presidential Ball) now has some cracking foals on the ground including a half sister to Abbey Tiara.. It is always exciting to stand a horse who proved he was the best of his age and who has his whole stud career ahead of him. Marika was crowned New Zealand’s 2yo of the year on the back of some sizzling performances. In his eight starts as a 2yo he won five races and finished 2nd in the other three, beaten no more than a neck. Two of his victories were at Group 1 level and in one of his defeats he was beaten a nose in 1:54.9. At 2 years of age he raced and beat horses of the calibre of Baileys Dream, Tribute and Badlands Bute and he continued his form through his 3yo season where he faced the starter on five occasions for another two wins and two 2nds. In all he raced 36 times for 11 wins, eight 2nds and two 3rds - took a mark of 1:57.2 - and had prizemoney in excess of $275,000. Marika joins other successful sons of Presidential Ball at stud like Washington VC (sire of Foreal) and Browning Blue Chip (sire of Loosen The Load).
