P B BULLVILLE

P B BULLVILLE (Precious Bunny) had his 2 year olds make their long awaited race track debuts this year and what an impact he had had on the 2 year old season thus far. Although not serving huge numbers in his first season he continues to steadily climb up the 2 year old ladder and at the time of writing he is the leading living first season sires in Queensland and his 10 x 2YO winners actually has him 2nd on the first season sires list in this country. He still has some trial winners that have not hit the track as yet so the future looks bright for P.B.
Fee: $2,530

MARIKA (NZ)

MARIKA (NZ) (Presidential Ball) will stand his first season at stud in the 2008-2009 season. It is always exciting to stand a horse who proved he was the best of his age and who has his whole stud career ahead of him. Marika was crowned New Zealand’s 2yo of the year on the back of some sizzling performances. In his eight starts as a 2yo he won five races and finished 2nd in the other three, beaten no more than a neck. Two of his victories were at Group 1 level and in one of his defeats he was beaten a nose in 1:54.9. At 2 years of age he raced and beat horses of the calibre of Baileys Dream, Tribute and Badlands Bute and he continued his form through his 3yo season where he faced the starter on five occasions for another two wins and two 2nds. In all he raced 36 times for 11 wins, eight 2nds and two 3rds - took a mark of 1:57.2 - and had prizemoney in excess of $275,000. Marika joins other successful sons of Presidential Ball at stud like Washington VC (sire of Foreal) and Browning Blue Chip (sire of Loosen The Load).
