Quest For Fame has sired Group 1 winners the likes of Dracula, Viscount, Tributes and potential champion Unworldly, whose untimely death rocked the thoroughbred world.
Dracula started 18 times and won seven races including three at the elite Group 1 level. He also ran two seconds and two thirds and retired having won $798,400 in prizemoney.
As a precocious 2YO he won the Sires Produce Stakes at Eagle Farm (1400 metres) and the Champagne Stakes at Randwick (1600 metres). In his 3YO year he defeated class gallopers Tycoon Lil, Might and Power and Juggler when winning the George Main Stakes (1600 metres) at Randwick.
Dracula's dam - Awards Ceremony - is a granddaughter of the great Star Kingdom via his two times "Champion Australian Juvenile Sire" Kaoru Star. Among Kaoru Star's 36 stakes winners were quality Golden Slipper winners like champion Luskin Star (1977) and the classy Full On Aces (1981).
Dracula's grandam - Party - was a multiple Sydney winner. She produced Festal - a top sprinter in both Australia and New Zealand and now a successful sire in New Zealand. The Australian Group 1 winning sprinter Masked Party is also a son of Party.
Dracula's best progeny to date is the Group 2 Randwick Hobartville Stakes winner Impaler, who was also victorious when breaking the track record in the Challenge Stakes over 1000 metres at Warwick Farm. Impaler has now won 11 races and $830,000 and placed 2nd to Undue in the Doomben 10,000.
Dracula is now the sire of over 100 individual winners all over the world.
Dracula is also the sire of Eagle Farm, Doomben and Rosehill winner Countess Bathory and three times Sydney city winner Dracaan, as well as Melbourne and Adelaide winner Mina. Smart Doomben and Eagle Farm winner Bloodline and Sandown winner Sigishoara are also by Dracula.
