Over defeats champion mare Sunline in the Group 1 Doncaster Handicap at Randwick in 2000.

A strong athletic son of the ill-fated Dr Grace, Over won 8 races from 20 starts at distances ranging from 1200 to1600 metres, amassing $2,147,935 in prizemoney.

Among his victories was a superb defeat of Sunline and 10 other individual Group 1 winners in the Doncaster Handicap, Group 1 over 1600 metres. He also won the Group 2 Sandown Guineas (1600m) and the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes (1600m), at Flemington.

Over is by Dr Grace (by Sir Tristram) who won 4 Group 1's (AJC Derby, Chipping Norton Stakes, The BMW and the VATC Underwood Stakes) on his way to career earnings of $2,762,681.

Among Over’s 60 winners are the stakes winners The Free Stater, Innings and Down The Wicket. He has also produced the stakes placed Over The Wicket, as well as metropolitan winners of the calibre of The Jonker, Long Walk, Termination, Unrequited, Little Sai Wan, Boss It's Over and Thesis. Over has sired his 60 winners from just 118 starters, giving him a winners-to-runners ratio of better than 50%.
